Mudeford Quay seabirds worth a visit while staying at Newpoint Hotel bed and breakfast guest house (B and B)

Mudeford Quay seabirds are amazing and well worth a visit while staying at Newpoint Hotel bed and breakfast guest house (B and B), even if you are not usually a bird watcher, birder, twitcher or ornithologist. Christchurch Harbour is a protected wildlife refuge and is home to large populations of swans, waders and other bird life with over 320 species recorded.

Recently, when I visited Mudeford Quay for a relaxing wander around, there was somebody near me feeding the birds. Being in the middle of all those seabirds was like being in the middle of a storm of flying feathers and I was lucky enough to get a quick photo which I can now share with you.

Having had a piece of very nice cake snatched out of my hand by a seagull at St Ives, Cornwall many moons ago, I'm not sure if feeding the seagulls is a good idea but it certainly produced a great photo :-)

Bye for now
